An elegant 18th century mansion located very close to the Old Square. It was recently opened as a hotel. It is a cozy hotel where the combination of modern and old architectural elements serve to stress the originality of its attractive design.
This mansion built by Gabriel Beltrán de Santa Cruz's parents, the first San Juan de Jaruco Count, later belonged to the distinguished Cárdenas de Monte Hermoso; Marquis's descendants.
Some of the most illustrious visitors of the city visited this house, such as: Baron Alejandro de Humboldt an eminent German scientist and naturalist; and three French princes:the Beaujolais Count, the Montpensier and the Orleáns Dukes. The Orleáns Duke later became Philip I of France.
